Butter yellow, a wobbly hand-drawn border and powder-blue drawings — unmistakably cheerful.
Sunny Wave is the brightest suite in the collection and the most obviously handmade. A wavy border, drawn rather than ruled, frames every card, and the frame is redrawn for each shape — it wobbles differently on a tall menu than on a landscape place card, the way a real hand-drawn one would. Inside it, powder-blue line art and a loose script sit on butter-yellow paper.
The type is deliberately informal: a handwritten script for the couple’s names, spaced capitals for everything else. It suits warm wording — “join us”, “come celebrate” — rather than “request the honour of your presence”, which reads oddly against a border that looks drawn with a felt pen.
This is a summer suite. It was built for daylight weddings: gardens, coastlines, vineyards, anywhere the reception carries on outdoors into the evening. Printed on uncoated stock, the yellow comes out softer and chalkier than it looks on screen, which flatters it.
The wavy frame is redrawn for each card shape rather than stretched.
